CATKINS
inaugural issue - spring 2025
step into the willow glade. wet your feet in dew, let soft green fingers caress your face. emerge through the portal anew.
relinquish yourself to consumption.
welcome to WILLOWS: an archive of sensitive expressions. a collection of mortal delicacies & born again delights.
let willows be your source of wisdom. your portal to yourself, an entryway to the unseen yet strongly felt.
may you find solace in her pages. may she remind you of the ephemeral nature of being.
may you leave assured that the pain of death is often the same pain that brings life.
let me grow. i dangle -
swaying softly, teasing
the tenacious claws
tugging me hell-bound.
i float. in this stillness,
i just want to be carried
through the wind & over your head
i will be the first
gentle reminder:
longer days & sweeter nights
emerge on our horizon
pollenate our possibilities,
this is how we’ll grow —
together. our seeds in soil
in darkness, our roots
one day, we’ll break ground
transformed on both ends
our survival depends
on seed to sprout, a stem
crack open a window
let the light in
cycle through
begin, again
